Festival of Lights on Lake Lanier Islands, GA.

We were informed about this one from our realtor. It's on Lake Lanier Islands Resort. Six and half miles of lights with a live Nativity, visit with Santa, and carnival rides. We decided to do it for Family Home Evening. It was absolutely beautiful. The kids stuck their heads out of the sunroof and waved to people. There was also a live Nativity with real animals, even a camel! It was outside so they served free hot chocolate to everyone. It was beginning to feel a lot like Christmas! There was a carnival with a carousel, ferris wheel and all sorts of rides, but the one that Ikaika had his eye on was a kiddie train that looked a lot like Henry from Thomas the Tank Engine. It was being repaired at the time and was not open for rides but Ikaika insisted on waiting until "Mr. Conducter" was finished fixing him. Well, the heavens answered his little prayer that night because as soon as we were about to leave, we hear the train calling out to Ikaika...TOOT, TOOT! Jon went to see if it was open for rides and it was. Ikaika was the happiest little boy that night. It was so cold and I think his smile froze on his face because he fell asleep smiling all the way home.
