Okay, so we arrived in Orlando on Monday the 18th but mom and dad didn't get in until Tuesday the 19th at 4 p.m. So I had the pleasure of entertaining the three kids by myself. We booked a room with Hotels.com at Westgate Lakes Resort Universal-Orlando. It's centrally located between Disney World and Universal Studios. It was absolutely perfect, especially for families. We had a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath villa with a separate roman-inspired jacuzzi tub in the Master bedroom. Of course the kids loved that. We put in a little bubble bath and the kids had a blast! We also had a full kitchen with a bar top. The dining area was adjacent to the living room which had a large 52 inch plasma TV. It was sweet! There was also a screened in patio overlooking the pool. Yes, the kids loved that too... There were seven heated pools to choose from all with kiddie pools, fountains, etc. There was also an 18 hole miniature golf course on the premises, not to mention the playground which Ikaika enjoyed so much. Everything you needed was there for your enjoyment. They had a full restaurant, the specialty was slow-cooked ribs, room service was available. Pizza Hut was also at the resort which the kids were very happy about too. The resort also offered a fitness facility with aerobic and yoga/Pilate's classes, a full Spa Salon (unfortunately I didn't get to partake...), paddle boats, sailing, etc. In a nutshell, this place was AWESOME! I would definitely stay there again if we ever go back. Oh, and the best part was that Super Wal-Mart was just down the road. How cool is that?!
